For a country dependent on American...support, this was acutely embarrassing to Israel. The DEA implied in one report that the turf war in New York, Las Vegas, and Las Vegas over the ecstasy trade may be directly linked to the open warfare between families in Israel. It is perhaps appropriate that Israeli gangsters have such influence in Las Vegas, as this was the old stomping ground of one of America’s most notorious Jewish criminals, Meyer Lansky, and his protégé, Bugsy Siegel...
