  4. How does it hunt? • Hooked claws for climbing and catching fish • stalk prey on the ground • at the top of the rainforest food web

  5. Babies • give birth to 2-4 young • born blind • adult size by age 4 • can live up to 22 years

  6. Fun Facts • The only cat that doesn’t roar • Only cat that likes to swim!

  7. Environmental Concerns • Jaguars are endangered for two reasons • rainforest cut down for cattle to graze • hunted for their fur Save the rainforest, eat chicken!
