What is Weebly? • Weebly is a free website creation tool • It uses a similar concept to how you would create a PowerPoint presentation i.e: • there are a number of styles to choose from • There are different formats of text you can use • You can insert pictures, maps, graphs • You can choose different fonts, colours and sizes

  3. How do I access Weebly? • http://students.weebly.com All students will use this address to log on to edit their weebly websites

  4. How do I set up my portfolio? Type your name (you will be given name & password) Type your password

  5. Your Welcome Screen Design = How the page looks Settings = Site name etc Elements = creating on your page Pages = for adding new pages to your website Key tabs Elements = creating on your page Design = How the page looks Pages = for adding new pages to your website Settings = Site name etc.

  6. Pick Your Design On the Design Tab choose from a range of designs by clicking on one of the pre-designed themes

  7. Add More Pages Weebly will prompt you to add some more pages

  8. Adding Pages Click Add a page • Type in one of the following names: • Cover Page • Nature of Issue • Impacts • Responses • Management Strategies • Then click ‘add another page’ to continue adding the extra pages Note: You need a total of 5 pages No extras allowed

  9. Edit Your Pages Drag a writing style box down to get ready to add information Drag to here

  10. Start Typing

  11. When You Click Publish The first time you click publish you will see this page You need to name your site 10G10*(your class number)InitialLastName Weebly will add “.weebly.com” to the end of the name you pick. The final website address will look something like 10G107kabela.weebly.com

  12. Ta Dah – Your Finished Website

  13. And finally…. • Everytime you make a change to a web page – click publish. • This ensures: • All changes are saved • The changes are visible on your public website • Remember to use the refresh key on your weebly website to make sure you can see the changes you have recently made
