The largest surface mine in the world. This diamond mine is in Eastern Siberia within the town called “Mirny”. Its 525 meters deep and 1.2 km across. The truck “ Belaz ” is one of the largest in the world, its 13,36 m long 7,78 m wide and 6,65 m tall. On next slide it’s like a tiny dot.

The hole is so large that its “airspace” is closed to aircraft as the wind causes unpredictable vortex.
