The HWRF R2 Baseline introduces significant new features compared to R1, including a new coupler compatible with POM and HYCOM, an updated POM ocean model, and a Gravity Wave Drag option. It also integrates the Community GSI, features wind swath generation, and provides 3-hourly track files. Major bug fixes include updates to various TBL files for consistency with WRF 3.2 and improvements in variable reading for GWD. The R2 version utilizes the latest GFS data with enhanced physics and resolution. Access the R2 baseline and developing versions via the provided SVN links.
