Call your doctor if you experience high fever, stomach cramps, hiccups, hair loss, extreme nausea, regurgitating, sudden acne breakouts, burping like a truck driver, dizziness, dry mouth, uncontrollable food cravings, hallucinations, depression, muscle spasms, and urges to dance like Patton during the order of operations video…….to be continued…..just kidding (also available in Española)

  2. The Dominators • We’ll dominate anything that stands in our way! • By: Kelin Price and Erica Redmond • Our Tumbling establishment offers public tumbling classes for $79.95 per month. We also specialize in Competition Squads. Our Tumbling Facility offers 3 rooms for different ages and experience levels.

  4. JANITOR! • The janitors job is to clean up any trash on the ground, mop the floor, clean the potties, and vacuum the spongy mats. • He/she will be paid $11.50 per hour

  5. MANAGER! • The manager’s job is to make sure everything runs smoothly in the facility and to take care of financial expenses. • He/she will earn $60.75 per hour

  6. TUMBLING COACH! • The tumbling coach’s job is to help students improve their tumbling skills. • He/she will earn $30.15 per hour

  7. COMPETITION COACH! • The competition coach’s job is to help our competition squad improve tumbling skills, create dance routines, and work on stunts. • He/she will earn $45.50 per hour

  8. UNIFORM DESIGNER! • The uniform designer designs uniforms for our competition squad. • He/she will earn $25.01 per hour

  9. NURSE! • The nurse’s job is to aid anyone who gets injured during practice. • He/she will earn $17.35 per hour

JOB EQUATIONS! • Janitor • 11.50x (x=hours) • At this rate the janitor will earn $460 per week, $1,955 per month, and $23,460 per year! • Manager • 60.75x (x=hours) • At this rate the manager will earn $2,430 per week, $10,327.50 per month, and $123,930 per year! • Tumbling Coach • 30.15x (x=hours) • At this rate the tumbling coach will earn $1,206 per week, $5,125.50 per month, and $61,506 per year! • Competition Coach • 45.50x (x=hours) • At this rate the competition coach will earn $1,820 per week, $7,735 per month, and $42,820 per year! • Uniform Designer • 25.01x (x=hours) • At this rate the uniform designer will earn $1,000.40 per week, $4,251.7 per month, and $51,020.40 per year! • Nurse • 17.25x (x=hours) • At this rate the nurse will earn $694 per week, $2932.50 per month, and $35,190 per year!

Business Analysis • The Dominators Measurements for Success! • Direct Variation: What is it, and what are 3 ways to represent it? • Definition: A direct variation is the relation between two quantities whose ratio remains constant. • Representation 1: y=kx • Representation 2: On a graph if it starts at 0 and is in a straight line • Representation 3: On a table if k equals the same number each time the equation y=kx is applied to the numbers in the table

Business Analysis – cont. • The Dominators Measurements for Success - Direct Variation: How do you determine the equation for it? • Answer: Identify the variables and the value for the constant (k), then compare the variables relative to k. • Example: The manager’s salary is y. The janitor’s salary is x. The manager’s salary is always 4 times that of the janitor’s. • Formula: y=4x (manager’s salary is always 4 times that of the janitor)

GIVEN A ONE-VARIABLE EQUATION, HOW DO YOU SOLVE FOR THE VARIABLE? • First, you would write out the equation. • Then, you would look for the operation in the equation and used the inverse operation (adding and subtraction or multiplication and division) for both sides of the equation. • For example, let’s say you have the equation 24+x=94 • Then, you would subtract 24 from each side • The inverse operations will cancel each other out, leaving that side with just x.
