Engaging Kids with Educational Games: Butterfly Cake Rush Presentation
In this presentation, Simon Martin, Bradley Hughes, Emma Hughes, and Lucy Bannister explore the development of "Butterfly Cake Rush," an interactive educational game designed for children aged 6-8. Focusing on maths skills, the game incorporates elements of storytelling inspired by "The Three Little Pigs." The free-to-play model features in-game advertisements and purchasable upgrades ranging from £0.50 to £5. Our aim was to create a fun learning environment where kids enjoy mastering time-telling while collecting butterflies and enhancing their gaming experience through upgrades.
