  2. Exempting Exam • OSCE 16 stations, 8 minutes and 1 minute change over / reading time • Progress Test • PMP paper • Any student who wishes to be excluded from the exempting exam in Jan 2011 must have this signed off by Hospital Dean

  3. Exempting Exam stats - MRI • 2008-9: 24 students failed EE 5 students failed finals • 2009-10: 14 students failed EE 1 with mitigating circumstances Of these 14 students, only 1 failed finals Trends suggest that EO students and intercalating students have a higher tendency to fail the EE

  4. Portfolio in Year 5 • Timetabled Portfolio Reviews • Formative mid-Oct / Mid Nov • Exit Portfolio May 2011 including Transfer of Information Form • Exit Portfolio in March 2011 for students on elective blocks 7-8 • All work based assessments to be completed • Students to include course assessments and evidence of preparation for FY1 • Reflective piece from StEP

  5. How to Stay out of Trouble • Have a plan for completing your work-based assessments • Make sure your Portfolio is up to date • Keep in contact with us • Keep an eye on FPAS dates • Don’t go away until 10th June • Let us know earlier rather than later if you have any problems
