1. The Exceptional Foundation Summer Camp 2014

   Welcome We are so excited your camper will be with us this summer!
2. Dates and Times First day of camp is Monday, June 9th Last day of camp is Friday, August 1st We open at 7:50am and close at 6:00pm We will be closed on Friday, July 4th Half days are from 8:00-1:00 or 1:00-6:00 Participants on the morning half day program will be called to the front lobby at 12:55 each day
3. Payment The cost of camp is $15 per half day and $25 per full day Drop-in fee is $25 for a half day and $40 per full day (must give 24 hours notice) Payment is due on Monday of each week Put your participant’s name in the memo line Please do not send your participant in to pay with a credit card We accept check and credit/debit cards No cash will be accepted If you want to pay by the month, June fees are due by June 9th and July fees are due on July 1st Payments need to be made in the front office. Give payments to Amanda, Margaret, Hannah or Ginny All school year dues must be paid in full by Thursday, May 22nd in order to attend summer camp. To qualify for the Early Bird discount, all payments must be made by June 9th, the first day of camp
4. Swimming Please send towel, bathing suit and sandals/flip flops. Label EVERYTHING! The green, orange and yellow groups will swim at West Homewood Park in the morning The red and blue groups will swim at the Shades Valley YMCAand will return to the EF by 4:30
5. Movie Days You must be at The Exceptional Foundation by 8:30 in order to go to the movies. No exceptions. We will be going to the movies every week this summer. Please do not send money for snacks.
6. Calendars Your first weeks calendar will be mailed to you by the end of next week We will not mail out any calendars after the first week Calendars will be available for pick up each Thursday afternoon at the sign-in/sign-out tables Calendars and the list of summer activities will be posted on our website
7. Medication All medication must be in a blister pouch sealed from the pharmacy with the original prescription Please provide specific, written dosage instructions Please send medication on a weekly or daily basis Please turn all medication into the front office Any medication leftover at the end of summer will be discarded
8. Drop-off and Pick-up We will have staff from each group to help participants sign in, put their things in their locker or cubby and get with their designated group Please call before you get to the EF and will try to have your participants waiting at the front If you need to get out of the car to come inside, please park in a parking spot Please do not block the driveway We are not responsible for any participants dropped off before 7:50
9. Things to Remember… Please do not send lunch items that need to be heated in the microwave or stored in the refrigerator We will provide snack at 4:00 Staff will be wearing colored shirts according to which group they are in Staff rotates groups every 2 weeks Be at the EF by 9:00 on fieldtrip days, except movie days, then be here by 8:30 Drinks from the drink machine are $1, please send correct change On Wednesdays, the ice cream man comes to the EF. We will pay for $1 popsicles Make sure clothing is appropriate for the days activities No cell phones Ipod’s, MP3 players, CDs, etc. can be brought on Wednesdays only, but the EF is not responsible for any lost or stolen items
