  1. Unit 5 Week 4 Vocabulary What is it? Very tall buildings Skyscrapers Examples: The first skyscrapers were built in New York City and Chicago. I stayed on the 22nd story in a skyscraper hotel. Non-Examples: Our two-story school is not a skyscraper.

  2. Unit 5 Week 4 Vocabulary What is it? Many small pieces that come together to form a picture collage Examples: We cut pictures from old greeting cards to make a holiday collage. My teacher put all of our school pictures together to form a collage. Non-Examples: The picture of me that my mother framed, is not a collage.

  3. Unit 5 Week 4 Vocabulary What is it? Outdoor meal prepared on a grill barbeque Examples: We had a barbeque in my backyard this summer. We ate chicken and pork barbecue. Non-Examples: The bread I baked this morning is not barbeque.

The beautiful icicles hanging from our tree this winter were glorious. Non-Examples: When my daughter spilled grape juice in my carpet it was not glorious.

Example: The peacock was strutting with her feathers stuck out proudly. The basketball player strutted across the court after he made the game winning shot.

  7. Unit 5 Week 4 Vocabulary What is it? Many together in a group swarms Examples: We ran from a swarm of bees after we accidentally knocked down a hive. There were swarms of students all over the playground during recess. Non-Examples: Two friends having lunch together is not a swarm of people.
