  3. Other Awkward Questions: • Topical questions • Weaknesses • Meeting deadlines • Recovering from a ‘bad’ question • Try to be enthusiastic • Show other strengths

  4. Assessment other than ‘the interview’ • Informal assessment – coffee, lab tour, meeting current students (even ours) • Group activities: • Problem solving • Leadership / team working • Listening • Motivating • Discussing • Oral presentations • Aptitude tests (eg.s on www.prospects.ac.uk)

  5. Organisational Issues: • See placement booklet • Dress appropriately • Claim expenses • Check email / voicemail • Take e.g.s of work • Make notes
