Llama • Llamas are commonly used pack and meat animals found in South America. They weigh up to 450 pounds.
Toco Toucan • This toucans bill may look very heavy for such a small bird, but the bill is relatively light because it is hollow.
Piranha • The exact amount of different species is unknown, but there may be up to 60 different types.
Jaguar • A full size jaguar can be 5-6 feet long and weigh up to 350 pounds. The jaguar has stocky legs which a great for swimming and climbing. They have about 2,000 pounds of bite force.
Capybara • Capybaras have slightly webbed feet, no tail, and 20 teeth which are great for chewing vegetation. Adult Capybaras can grow up to 4 feet in length and weigh up to 140 pounds.
Squirrel Monkey • This monkey eats bats, birds, lizards, and tree frogs. It spends two thirds of their day foraging for food. This monkey is listed as vulnerable.
Parrot • Parrots have a strong curved bill, clawed feet, and very bright colors. They live all over central and South America.
Spider Monkey • Spider Monkeys live in the upper part of the rainforest called the canopy. They forage for food at heights of up to 100 feet.
