  4. PANEVĖŽYS, THE CAPITAL OF AUKŠTAITIJA(1503) Panevėžys is the fifth largest city in Lithuania. The city is situated in the middle of Lithuania. It lies on the banks of the river Nevėžis. There are about 103,5 thousand inhabitants.

  9. Senvagė (the Old River Bed) is considered the symbol of Panevėžys and is a famous place for leisure time and festivals. TOWN HEART – SENVAGĖ (RIVER WASH)

  10. The theatre is unique in its nature-all its actors are puppets. The name of the theatre is promoted when in summer all actors gather their puppets and decorations and put them onto a big horse-drawn wagon and travel around many towns and villages in Lithuania. The director of the theatre AntanasMarkuckis, the owner of the most prominent theatre awards, the B. Dauguvietis, H. K.
