Comment: In physics measurements simulated up to now, SM backgrounds have been included and have been shown not very sensitive to the type of central detector. Software has become so fast and powerful, that the reasons why we don‘t need „continuous tracking“ are given. Of course powerful software is good, but powerful hardware is also good. A combination of both is even better. It allows the possibilities of cross-checks and redundancy, both which are important in our business. Reasons for a TPC as main tracker in ILD
