  1. MSA Highlights

  2. Back to School Bash/Grandparents’ Day • The scholars invited their grandparents/family members to WELCOME in the new year with an Ice Cream Bash. The families participated in an art and craft activity, indulged in ice cream from the Moo Truck and were entertained by the MBA High school marching band.

  3. MSA takes over CMOM • MSA took a school-wide field trip to the Children’s Museum of Memphis. It was a memorable experience where scholars got the opportunity to experience the joy of play in hands-on exhibits and programs.

  4. Commanders Command the Field • MSA scholars not only take command in the classrooms, but they command the soccer field every Friday for practice and a game.

  5. MSA’s Robotics Team Brings HEAT to MLGW! • The MSA Robotics team participated it the FIRST Robotics Showcase at MLGW. The scholars were presented the opportunity to showcase their HOT skills to MLGW stakeholders, community members and educational partners.

  6. G.E.M.S.Girls Empowered in Motivating Self Ms. Bell, Mrs. Henderson, Ms. Trujillo and Ms. Williams are empowering girls through expression and motivation. The K-3 scholars will meet monthly to participate in discussions and activities around humility, compassion, self-confidence and service.

  7. Hispanic Heritage Month @ MSA Mr. and Mrs. Mullen are the proud parents of MSA’s very own 1st ELA teacher Ms. Kaitlyn Mullen. They brought in artifacts to share regarding the Hispanic way of living. MOE’s restaurant also provided complimentary chips and salsa to all scholars.

  8. Red Ribbon Week MSA Scholars took the pledge to be drug free and be a part of creating a drug free America. Juvenile Court Counselor Anthony Clear of the Allen Precinct talked with scholars about the dangers of drug use. Scholars participated in a series of events all aimed to towards being drug free. Monday: Dress to Impress Red Ribbon Assembly Tuesday: Drugs are Tacky! Wednesday: Put a Sock on Drugs! Thursday: Join the Drug Free Team-Sign the Pledge.
