  5. Breaking System • A relatively small force is applied to the piston on the left say 100N. This puts pressure on the oil • The pressure of the oil causes a force of 5000N to act on the piston on the right. • Because pressure = Force and 100N Area 10cm2 • is the same as 5000N 500cm2
