Relative mRNA levels of TspanC8 tetraspanins were measured in various mouse tissues using RT-PCR. Primer efficiencies were determined for accurate quantification.

Validation of mouse TspanC8 tetraspanin RT-PCR primers. The relative mRNA levels of TspanC8 tetraspanins were measured by RT-PCR from a mixture of cDNAs from mouse brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, muscle and thymus tissue. Standard curves were used for each primer and primer efficiencies obtained using the MxPro RT-PCR software from Stratagene (error bars represent the standard error of the mean from two experiments, each done in duplicate).
