Toad in a Hole Scones with Jam & Cream Shepherds Pie Treacle Tart
Treacle Tart Ingredients • 1 1/2 cups (225g) plain flour • 1/3 cup (50g) icing sugar • 125g unsalted butter cut into small cubes • 1 egg • 400ml golden syrup • 100g fresh white breadcrumbs • Grated zest and juice of 3 lemons • Cream, to serve
Treacle Tart Method Place flour and icing sugar in a food processor, whiz to combine, then add butter and process until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add egg and process until pastry forms a smooth ball. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 160°C. Roll out pastry on a floured board and use to line a greased, 23cm loose-bottomed tart pan. Roll out excess pastry into a long piece and cut into strips with a crinkle pastry cutter to make the lattice-effect on top. Place golden syrup in a pan over low heat to warm through, add remaining ingredients, then stir to combine. Pour into tart shell and decorate with pastry lattice. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until set. Serve with cream.
Traditional and Casual Clothing There is a lot of celebrations in England and there is also a lot of costumes. There is the royal family’s clothing the English / British soldiers clothing and just formal clothing you would wear to celebrations. There is also casual clothing.
England is Famous For What? England is famous for a lot of different things e.g. Fish and Chips, Big Ben, black cabs, Oasis, Blur, the Royal Family and the London Eye. England is also very famous for its castles and giant landmarks and buildings. England’s oldest royal castle still in use is Windsor Castle.
England England has a lot of cool places to go and is a very good holiday place. If you go to Big Ben get yourself lined up with it so it looks like your as big as Big Ben and your leaning on it and take a picture!!! When you go on the London Eye look down and around you. You can basically see across the whole of England!!!
