  7. Methods for Tracking Students Visits Laptop/Desktop Sign in sheet TutorTrac on an iPad Magnetic-Stripe Card Reader

  8. Laptop/Desktop • Hard to Transport • Depends on the condition of the facility • Cost is higher • Accessible to all features. • Can handle burst visiting by attaching usb card reader. • Normal way to use TutorTrac

  9. Sign in Sheet • Easy to lose • Hard to validate hand writing data • Extra human labor required for data entry • Easy to carry • Facility independent – useable everywhere • No cost

  10. Portable Magnetic-Stripe Card Reader • Hard to validate data • Extra human labor required • Sometime depends on battery life. • Function Limits • Easy to carry • Facility independent – useable everywhere • Login and logout fast, able to handle burst visits.

  11. TutorTrac on the iPad • A little bit costly but can be optimized • Currently third-party app is needed • Wifi required • Combine all the advantages above • No post session labor needed • Data is more often correct • No function limits
