Management Issues • Recognition of Problem – The company was slow to recognize the problem, as the recall was for products manufactured over two years • Speed of Response – The company immediately responded, notifying their customers and voluntarily recalling their products ISE 427 Michael Harris

  3. Impact of Recall • Legal Consequences – It is an ongoing investigation as of now. The FDA currently is not aware of any products being recalled on the consumer level • Reputation/Sales - It cannot be predicted at this time what effect this recall will have on the consumer as the Plainview Milk Products Cooperative products are marketed to manufacturers for use in consumer products.
