  3. Community Primary Care • Prevention • Population • Individual follow-up in his/her own home • Pregnancy follow-up by midwife-nurse • Registration on birth • Well - new born and child visits by midwife-nurse • Every house member is shown on“ETF” ( house-follow-up card)

Community Primary Care • Education: • Meetings with the target large community groups • Smoking cessation program – conferences all over the country • Interactive education programs with small groups: • Breast Health, Reproductive Health for women- small groups especially in rural areas • Individual education • Chronic ilnesses (Teaching how to cut his toe nail to a diabetic)

  5. Community Orientation in FM Training Program • Throughout entire residency program • 1. year: 1-3 months • 2. year : 1-3 months • 3. year : 1-3 months • 4. year : 10 months + 2 months thesis

  6. Community Orientation in FM Training Program • ACTIVITIES: • Performance in FM Center • Public education activities • Screening programs

  7. Community Orientation in FM Training Program • ASSESSMENT • Residency Reports • Feedback • Formal interview of acceptance for FM specialty
