We start the month with Rodeo Days and then we slide into Spring Break and get a much needed rest. We hope you all are able to enjoy a safe and happy time with your family and friends.   2. Rodeo Days at FSYC March 5 & 6 For Rodeo days we will wear our western duds and have a hot dog lunch! Look for lunch sign – up sheets in your child’s classroom. Each class will come up with a game and the children will visit other rooms to play fun rodeo games. We will need parent volunteers to assist with the games. with the games. - The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is Feb 28– Mar 22, 2014. There is more information available at their website www.hlsr.com. FSYC Spring Fling Fundraiser April 6, 20142-4 pmWhat is spring Fling? It will be an afternoon of carnival fun and events for the entire family. We will have a silent auction to raise funds for playground improvement, a new security system and to add at least one additional classroom. We will be asking you for donations of new items for the Silent Auction and other events. Suggested items are tickets for sporting events, movies and the theatre, golf passes, gift certificates of all kinds, spa day certificates, collectibles, and restaurant certificates. People can also donate time, skills or special treats to attract bids such as computer help, gardening or babysitting. These items can come from you, your friends, your neighbors, your family or businesses you patronize.We hope you will attend and invite your family and friends to come as well!

  3. Help with FSYC Spring Fling Silent Auction The FSYC Silent Auction is only 7 weeks away! It’s time to start posting signs, messages and sending out press releases. Let’s make this the best one yet!! The more people who donate, the more food sales and BIDS on the Silent Auction -- the more funds to improve the playground for our children. With the promise of a fun filled family activity day, this event should be host to a large number of families from the surrounding areas.Five ways you can help :1.TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS! Those attending do not have to bemembers of Faith UMC or have children that attend FSYC. They just need to want a fun Saturday out with their family. 2.DONATE ITEMS FOR THE SILENT AUCTION and food items. Get businesses in your neighborhood to donate items. Put together a basket of fun stuff or donate your services.3.VOLUNTEER TO HELP WITH THE GAMES AND ACTIVITIES. 4. POST THE ATTACHED CARD(s) at your local grocery stores, library, coffee shop, nail salon, neighborhood rec. center, etc. – anywhere that has a community bulletin board. Just cut out the 4 cards and post them you can photocopy copy the sheet if you need more.5. POST THE FOLLOWING PRESS RELEASE to any online discussion/topic/social groups to which you belong. Send emails to your friends. Below is the copy you can cut and paste. **********Press Release************Faith School For Young Children Hosting Spring Fling And Silent Auction The Faith School for Young Children (FSYC)will hold it’s annual Spring Fling and Silent Auction on Sunday April 6, 2014 from 2 pm to 4 pm. at Faith United Methodist Church at 4600 FM 359 , Richmond, Tx 77406. FSYC, a non-profit school, will hold a silent auction to raise funds for an improved shady playground for the children. Activities include: Date: Sunday April 6, 2014 from 2 pm-4 pm Place: Faith United Methodist Church at 4600 FM 359 , Richmond, Tx 77406 Cost: Tickets $.50 each for games, rides, moon jump, food and drinks.   4. Summer CampsThere will be 3 Summer Camp sessions this year. Only the first session will offer extended care (7-5:30) the other two will be 9-2 ONLY! The dates are: 1st session – May 27 – June 6 ******* 2nd session – June 23 – July 3 *****************3rd session – July 7 – July18 ********************* Vacation Bible School will be July 21-25, 2014.The two day option is Tuesday and Thursday. The three day option is Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, five day option will of course be Monday thru Friday. Check our website and the upcoming newsletters for further details. You can register at the school office. “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” – Dr. Seuss Monthly Reminders: Tuition is due the first of each month. Please use Tuition Express. Any checks should be made out to FSYC. Please turn any payments into the office. Do Not put them in your child’s backpack. School hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We ask that you not enter the classroom before 9 as the teachers are preparing for their day. Your child should be picked up by 2pm if not in extended day. Label all items for home and pack a lunch for your child daily unless it is a special meal day. Please keep a change of clothes in your child’s backpack for accidents or messes that may occur.
