England loosens the Reins • William and Mary disband the Dominion of New England and restore Massachusetts as an independent joint stock company • Religious tolerance rules are imposed in Massachusetts to prevent Puritans from banishing “undesirables.” • Andros is arrested by colonists, but is sent to England to stand trial. He was not punished, and went on to be the King’s choice for Governor of Virginia
