Developing • Developing countries are ones that don’t use much technology, a lot of electricity, live off of the land, and very poor. Or, as the dictionary puts it, “anon-industrialized poor country that is seeking to develop its resourcesbyindustrialization”.
Developed • A developed country is one that uses technology, has a good economy, very industrialized, not very much poverty related issues, and has a well established military. The dictionary term for a developed country is “”gross domestic product (GDP), the per capita income, level of industrialization, amount of widespread infrastructure and general standard of living”. These are all very well in a developed country.
Different country types Developing Developed ¼ of the America’s population is in poverty. This might be because of drugs, lack of education, homelessness and or many others. 55% of America’s population has lived in or near poverty. • Almost half of the world, more then 3 billion people, live on less than $2.50 a day. The poorest 40 percent of the world’s population accounts for 5 percent of global income. The richest 20 percent accounts for three-quarters of world income
Africa • There a more than 1 billion children in poverty as of today, 400,000 thousand children of which live in Africa alone. There are, of course, certain countries in Africa that aren’t as poor like Egypt or South Africa, unlike Ethiopia and Nigeria. The average amount of illness related deaths in poverty rich areas of Africa is 30,000 a year.
Asia • Approximately 267 million people in East and Southeast Asia lived on less than $1 per day in 1998. China has very large numbers of poor due to the great size of its rural population. Such Southeast Asian countries as Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia also rank among the world’s poorest. The number of children in poverty in Asia increases every year. With little or no industrialization, except from the United States, almost all of Asia is poor and much is devastating it’s economy, land, and population.
