  1. Video Presentation Tools for the Flipped Classroom Pamela Johnson

  2. Today’s session • How we can use these tools to help our students learn • Tour a few different video presentation tools • See how to make a video presentation • You give it a try

  3. Teaching ideas • Make videos for your students to watch in preparation for a class. • Make a video to answer a frequently asked question. • Upload your work to YouTube and make an Educanon to make sure they watch. • Have your students make these videos or audio slideshows themselves. • Put your students’ videos on your Blackboard/iTunes U/Moodle/blog and track the hits.

  4. Tips • Make text and images larger than usual. • Transitions don’t work, but when you export to PDF, you might be able to print transitions. • Use a headset mic if you have one. You’ll get clearer sound. • You’ll need an external webcam if you work on a Windows desktop. • You’ll find sharing easier on a computer.

  5. Links to your Google account through Chrome store • Works on iPad, import content from Dropbox and Google Drive • Import PDF and docx files • Laser pointer on computer but not iPad • No editing, but good for audio slideshow • Turn camera around, record something else • Sharing is easy on a computer and more challenging on the iPad

  6. More uploading options, especially on the iPad • Rerecord your slide • Turn camera around, turn OFF camera for audio only • Use PowerPoint • You need to make an account • You only get 5 per month, 10 minutes each • Easier sharing on the iPad

  7. Lots of options for import and camera and screen • Audio only • Upload video • No iPad app • Limit 3 per month in free version

  8. Download for Windows PCs only • This site is available in English and Arabic
