  20. A reminder of the Island

  21. This is an uninhabited Island in the Pacific. It is a very hostile and threatening place. It is near the centre of the Pacific ocean. The Island measures a mile and a half in length by half a mile wide.

  22. Local fauna on the Island includes mosquitoes and other insects, lizards, land and coconut crabs – a huge bird population, palm and coconut trees and mangrove bushes. The interior is a thick jungle with coconut trees dominating and bamboo.

  23. Although an abundance of fish live around the reefs and lagoons, many of them are inedible and poisonous due to a type of algae that grows on coral and which some fish contain in their flesh. Symptoms of eating such fish include severe abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, temporary blindness and in some cases death.

  24. There are numerous shipwrecks around the Island, with one appearing quite recent. It looks modern however has suffered some damage.

  25. Items on deck include cages, perhaps from transporting poultry, pots and pans, tin opener, wooden pallets, barrels, rope, measuring spoons, metal bowls, some vegetables (potato, onion and garlic), a kettle and some cutlery.
