  4. Civilians are often publicly executed or tortured Sometimes civilians are targeted for death to intimidate people or they are forced into recruitment by these militias

  5. In April 2013 Somali militants stormed Somali’s main court complex trying to kill civilians

  6. Witnesses report bombs being detonated and an exchange of gunfire during the attack The act was carried out by at least ten heavily armed Somali militants

  7. The group known as Al-Shabaab claims responsibility for the attack In their assault at least 29 civilians were killed in the attack
