    57. Each year in April or May ADDA sets aside one week to recognize the thousands of individual in the design-drafting industry.

ADDA Chapters are available Worldwide upon request and meeting qualifications Chapters operate within an accepted school ADDA Membership is required and consist of Student and / or Associate Member Classifications. Associate Members may belong to both Chapters and Councils. (Separate Dues are required for each) Area Suppliers or Manufactures may be supporters Dues remain with the student chapter Fundraising is supported Chapters help students work as a team to deliver projects on time and in budget

    78. WHAT IS CURRICULUM CERTIFICATION ? Use of the most recent Ideas & Information delivered in the proper technical setting, incorporated with the Basic Drafting Fundamentals and Industry Required & Recognized Standards taught by an institutionally supported instructor who follows a professionally based teaching program.

Request a Curriculum Certification package from the ADDA Corporate Office or download the application package from our website adda.org Complete only the application, then mail or fax, to the Corporate Office. The application will be reviewed and evaluated by the Corporate Office and the Curriculum Certification Committee. You will be contacted by the Corporate Office, if or when, to proceed to complete the curriculum certification package. This will help eliminate possible errors within the package Once your application has been sent to the Corporate Office, do not proceed until you are notified if additional information is needed. You will be notified to proceed by letter.

    82. Schools offering organized curriculum of two or more years directed toward the preparation for employment of the designer and drafter.

Examination of the schools existing curriculum Review the faculty, students and graduates Use and verify references Examination of data from catalogs, texts, courses, etc. Verification of classroom space and equipment Verification of revised curriculum, books, and equipment School Inspection (if requested or required)

    84. Colleges and Universities, including branches or divisions Technical Institutes Junior or Community Colleges Trade Schools Post-Secondary or Technical Schools High Schools and Technical High Schools

    85. Must have a reputation for being fair and factual in all dealings with students and the public. Maintain a high standard of ethics in all operations Give evidence of having adequate financial support for normal operation.

    86. Physical Plant Adequate Floor Space Adequate labs and equipment without doubling students Sufficient lighting based on the production method Work areas should be neat and cleaned daily

    87. Faculty Qualifications A desire to teach. Educational level of faculty and their industrial or related experiences are additionally important. Participation of faculty members in professional societies related to their field is desired.

    88. Industry Advisory Committee Schools must have or establish an Advisory Committee composed of three or more representatives of local industries.
