  1. The Movement In humans, the Movement realizes thanks to: • The skeleton or skeletal system • The apparatus Muscular

  2. The Movement • The skeleton can be considered as a system of organs, bones, cartilage and the ligaments work together to realize the functions of movement, support and protection to the internal organs. The skeleton provides the attachment points to the muscles and the muscular system ensures the movement. • The skeleton, as well as performing this function, supports our body and provides protection to some internal organs.

  3. Skeletal System In adults the skeletal bones are 206. In a being average adult, the skeleton represents the 20% of body weight. You can distinguish the bones of the head, the trunk and the limbs, respectively, axial skeleton and appendicular skeleton.

  4. Typesofbones Long bones: when they are developed in the longitudinal direction (ribs and femur). • Flat bones: They are extended to the surface (for example the bones of the skull and pelvis). • Short bones: They are almost equally developed in three dimensions.

  5. THE MUSCLES

  6. The muscles The muscular system is made up of organs, muscles, that generate movements thanks to their ability to contract, becoming shorter and bigger.

  7. Typesofmuscles In most cases, the muscles realize the movement in cooperation with the bones and are called skeletal muscles. Involuntary muscles are the ones that we can not control: the muscles of the esophagus, stomach or heart.Skeletal muscles and those of the face, are controlled by our will and are called volunteers.

  8. The muscletissue Muscles are made predominantly from muscle tissue, which can be striated or smooth type. The muscle tissue striated The muscle tissue smooth

  9. The musclesantagonistes Muscles, like biceps and triceps, work in pairs, producing opposite movements, these muscles are called antagonistes.
