Operations & Logistics • Fall Clean-up – Volunteers Needed • Saturday, October 25th from 0900 – UTC • Main focus is prepping site for winter • Retrieve and store docks • Store launches and shells • Boathouse clean-up • Inventory • Identify necessary maintenance and repairs • Will post to Sign Up Genius

Coaching • Rich Schafer, Head Coach – US Rowing certified Level II Coach - 5 years coaching at BWHS - Certified in Boat safety, Offshore Sailing, CPR and general First Aid • Jessica Sigalas, Asst Head Coach – Rowed at Bishop O’Connel as Varsity rower – Rowed at George Mason University on the Varsity Women’s 8+ - Coached in the Fairfax School system at Oakton High School for 3 years. -US Rowing Coaching Level II certification and as well as Certification in ARC First Aid. • Tom Bennett, Novice Coach – Rowed for Naval Academy as an undergraduate and went on to row Masters through his Naval career - Started the Oakton High School Crew many years ago - Head Coach for 5 years - Coaching for Briar Woods for the past 4 years. Tom is a Level II US Rowing Certified Coach • Joe Brennan, Asst Head Coach – Grew up rowing in Philadelphia - Marietta College where he rowed Varsity 8+ - Many years coaching at the elite and college level - Coached for the US Elite Team and George Town University - Level II US Rowing Certified Coach • Lynn Nguyen, Varsity 4+ & Coxswain coach - Rowed in the Fairfax school system at Lake Braddock Secondary School - Coxswain and Row Varsity for Virginia Tech - Coached for Briar Woods and Loudoun Rowing this past Spring Season and Fall Crew 2013. • Nick Kellerher, Varsity Girls – Rowed in the Fairfax school system for Washington Lee, the oldest Scholastic Rowing program in the Washington DC area - Rowed for Virginia Tech in the Varsity Mens 8+ - Coached this past Spring Season as well as Fall Crew 2013
