  2. Electronic log Read only version of the calendar To check project numbers To register a new scan N07_02 Enter project code to start

  3. Research projects Click to confirm the researcher/clinician and enter operator name This is a list of the users associated with the project in calpendo. If you are not on this list you need to request a project association in calpendo (under ‘projects’ menu).

  4. Chose whether this is a phantom or a human study, and if human, complete details Click to start scan

  5. This is the scan ID. Enter this into scanner console instead of name Click to end scan

  6. O1.5T_N07_02_002 O1.5T_N07_02_002 All other details as normal

  7. A guide to the new scan ID format: Subject: Counts up automatically Scanner: 1.5T 3T 7T Project: N=neuro C=cardiac Centre: O=OCMR F=FMRIB A=AVIC (?)

  8. This information is used when compiling bills

  9. If yes, you’ll be taken back to the start page. If no: Chose the reason for failure This information is required and will appear on bills so be succinct (and polite!)

  10. Clinical scans Add clinical project code Click consultant and add operator name

  11. All clinical scans have a simple ‘CLIN’ where the project code would be for a research scan This time no patient details (they go onto the scanner console) but the scan ID is set here End scan as for research scans

  12. O1.5T_clin_011 NHS number All other details as normal

  13. If/when it breaks… back to paper: C Add C for cardiac or or N for neuro

  14. USING THE SCAN BACKUP LOG (research) On the Patient Registration page Last name AND Patient ID must be completed with the scan number from the log book (see example left). Remaining mandatory fields (Bold typeface on the Patient Registration page) should be completed as normal N03T_0001 N03T_0001 RN, Version1, 03/03/2009

  15. USING THE SCAN BACKUP LOG (Cardiac clinical) On the Patient Registration page Accession number must be completed with the scan number from the log book (see example left). Patient ID must be completed with the ORH Hospital Number taken from the log book (example left). Remaining mandatory fields (Bold typeface on the Patient Registration page) should be completed as normal for a cardiac clinical scan. C03T_0001 RTH 1234567 RN, Version1, 03/03/2009
