  3. His Early Life • Henry’s birth date has not been discovered • People say that perhaps he was born in the 1570’s,maybe in Hodderson • When he was a boy he sailed on a ship

  4. What Was He Looking For • Henry was looking for a northern route to connect Europe and Asia • No one else discovered this route and Hudson was looking for a quick way to transport goods

  5. The Route He Took • Hudson’s final route went up north towards Iceland, went off to Greenland, and went west to Canada • It ended up what is now the Hudson Bay

  6. Challenges He Faced • During his exploration his crew became unruly because of cold weather • Because of this Hudson changed his route • Hudson also faced severe ice burgs

  7. Discoveries He Made • Hudson discovered a north west passage to Asia,this impacted the world because he founded the Hudson Bay,the Hudson River and the Hudson Strait

  8. Other Facts • The ship Henry Hudson sailed on was the Hopewell • Henry Sailed with his son John • The Hudson River flows over 510km(315mi) • The Hudson Bay is covering about 520,000km(201,000mi) of east Canada • Hudson entered the Hudson Strait in June 1610
