  2. Percy Jackson and The Olympians The Lightning Thief Rick Riordan is the author of The New York Times children’s best seller Percy Jackson ser- ies. Rick is 49 years old with a wife and two Sons, they live in San Antonio, Texas. Rick’s no vels are mostly based on Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology which he taught for many years as a teacher. Rick Riordan is currently coming out with the 5th book of The Heros Of Olympus.

Important Events in Rick Riordan’s Life -June 5th, 1964 Rick Russell Riordan is born. -June 1st,1982 Rick graduates High school. -January 1st ,1986 graduates from the Univer- sary of Texas. -In 1997 Rick wrote and published his first book “Big Red Tequila’’ -June 28th , 2005 the day ‘’The Lightning Thief’’ gets published. -May 3rd ,2006 the second book of the Percy Jackson series ‘’Sea of Monsters’’ comes out. -In 2008 wins the Mark Twain Award for ‘’The Lightning Thief’’ . Also wins the Mark Twain Award in 2009 for ‘’Sea of Monsters’’ -In 1998 won the Shamus and Anthony Award for ‘’Big Red Tequila’’ -In 2011 won The Children’s Choice Book Award for Author of the Year. -October 19th,2002 gets the St. Mary Hall’s First Master Teaching Award. -2013 came out with ‘’House of Hades’’

  6. Book Summaries Percy Jackson& The Olympians The Lightning Thief is about a 12 year old boy who knows something is different about him. He takes a school trip to Metropolitan Museum of Art, where his teacher turns into a Fury and demands the lightning bolt. That’s when Percy is sent to Camp Half-Blood where he finds out he is the son of Poseidon. The book is about the travel to get the missing lightning bolt to Zeus before a war is started. The Sea of Monster is the second book in the Percy Jackson series. The book starts off with Percy’s mother telling him Camp Half-Blood is no longer safe, Percy and his friends agree to try to save the camp. They go on another quest togeth- er in order to find the answer to save Camp Half-Blood.

  7. In The Titan’s Curse Grover finds two half-blood siblings which Percy, Annabeth and Thalia help escape from ‘’Dr.Thorn’’ but Annabeth is captured. Percy and his friends go on a quest to save Annabeth and find Artemis the goddess of hunt to influence her vote to start a war of the titans.
