  2. Rick Riordan Biography • Rick Riordan was born on June 5th, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas. Rick is a fantasy and Greek mythology writer. Rick is 50 years old and lives in San Antonio, Texas. Rick’s parent’s names are Jason and Brina Riordan. Rick is a single child and has no siblings. Rick is married to Becky Riordan. Rick has two sons their names are: Haley and Patrick Riordan. Rick went to Michigan State and the University of Texas. He graduated on January 1st, 1986. Rick won 4 awards, they are: 1998 Shamus Award, Antony Award, 1999 Edgar Award for the best paperback, and the Mark Twain Award in 2009. • When Rick Was 13 in middle school, he started writing. Rick submitted his book but it wasn’t published. On March 21st, 2006 when he was 40, Rick published his first book called, The Lightning Thief: Percy Jackson And The Olympians. Rick Riordan wrote 25 books.

Similarities and Differences Similarities Differences • Percy goes to school in The Sea Of Monsters, however does not attend school in Demigod Diaries. • In Demigod Diaries, Percy tries to get Hermes Staff, But on the other hand in The Sea Of Monsters Percy does not. • Percy in The Sea Of Monsters has to fight to fight 2 giants, but on the contrary in Demigod Diaries he only has to fight 1. • The main character is Percy Jackson in both, The Sea Of Monsters and Demigod Diaries. • In Both Books Luke Is dead. • The Main setting in The Sea Of Monsters is Camp-Half-Blood, which is the same as Demigod Diaries.

  5. The Sea Of Monsters • The genre of my book is Greek mythology\fantasy. My book takes place in the present at Camp-Half-Blood and The Sea Of Monsters. The characters are Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, and Luke. In the beginning, Percy has to escape camp to get the Golden Fleece to save their camp. Then Percy Fights a Cyclopes for the fleece and then finally gets it and leaves. At the end Percy Saves The camp and becomes a hero. I liked the book because there was a lot of action and it was a fun book to read.

  6. Demigod Diaries Demigod Diaries • The genre of my book is Greek mythology/fantasy. The setting of my book is sometimes Richmond, Virginia sometimes camp-half-blood maybe even just wondering the streets in the present. The setting changes with the chapters. The main characters of my book were Thalia, Luke, Hal, Annabeth, Percy, Piper, Leo, Jason. The plot was kind of long on my paper so I’m going to try to shorten it on here. Thalia and Luke follow a goat that leads them to a statue then a mansion. They enter the mansion then the doors lock behind them. At the end Luke and Thalia escape the mansion with it exploding right when they get out. The conclusion of the story is Luke and Thalia make it out while fight intense monsters. I was kind of board at the beginning but when I got to the middle I enjoyed the book.
