  2. Outline • Cameroon objectives • Cameroon gas reserves • Cameroon gas master plan • Rio del rey scheme 1 • Rio del rey scheme 2 • Greater gas development: sheme 3 • Snh conceptual scheme • Conclusion

  3. CAMEROON OBJECTIVES Cameroon objectives are: • Domestic gas market supply • Lpg and condensate supply to local market and export of excess • Export of dry gas to eg lng train 2

  4. Cameroon is unexploited in term of gas Non associated gas 5,5 Tcf (156 billion m3) Associated gas 0.035 TCF (1 billion m 3) Non risk exploration about 20 Tcf (570 billion m3) CAMEROON GAS RESERVES

  5. CAMEROON GAS MASTER PLAN Following the gas master plan, three main development cases were studied • RDR scheme 1 • This development scheme comprised the kita, edem and ekoundou fields • RDR scheme 2 • This case consisted of developing the non-associated gas and associated gas in the wider kita area and also the northern fields • Greater gas development : scheme 3 • This case consisted of developing all discoved gas fields in cameroon that were perceived to be economically developable

  14. CONCLUSION • A LARGE INTEGRATED GAS EXPORT DEVELOPMENT WOULD PROVIDE THE BEST LONG-TERM PLATFORM FOR GAS COMMERCIALISATION FOR THE COUNTRY AND FOR DELIVERY OF COST-COMPETITIVE GAS POWER GENERATION IN CAMEROON. • ANY GAS DEVELOPMENT, EVEN SMALL, DECIDED BEFORE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF VOLUMES HAD BEEN DEVELOPED COULD ERODE THE LIKELIHOOD OF LARGE-SCALE DEVELOPMENT SEEKING TO MAXIMISE THE UTILIZATION OF CAMEROON’S GAS RESOURCE OVER A PERIOD OF 20-30 YEARS.

  15. CONCLUSION • DUE TO THE INSUFFISANT PRODUCTION OF LPG WITHIN THE COUNTRY, THE BEST SCHEME IS THE GREATER ONE WITH LIQUID RECOVERY IN CAMEROON AND LEAN GAS SENT TO EG LNG AT PUNTA EUROPA IN BIOKO ISLAND. • TO PROGRESS A SUCCESSFUL CAMEROON COMMERCIALISATION SCHEME, SUBTENTIAL ADDITIONAL VOLUMES WOULD NEED TO BE MATURED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE THROUTH DEDICATED GAS EXPLORATION AND APPRAISAL ACTIVITIES.
