The aim is to meet community and school aspirations By aiming to meet the National Planning Policy Framework By aiming to meet the aspirations of the Church Stretton; Area Strategic Action Plan Place Plan Town Plan Towards 2013 Provide land for affordable, second stage and open market housing; and small scale innovative employment development. As part of that improve and enlarge school playing fields.

  6. We want to create aSecure & Manageable Site To link first class field sports facilities to our new Leisure Centre for our students and the community. Prevent students from going off site to use rugby pitch. Prevent students from creating muddy pavements after lessons. To provide changing facilities for outdoor sports. To improve safeguarding.

  7. We want to create Larger & Better Playing Fields Increase playing field provision by 1.7 hectares (78%) To create additional pitches. To secure space for a running track and MUGA To secure space for outdoor changing provision. Use the slope of the ground to create grass stepped spectator viewing. Improved Health & Safety – safer pitches, better drainage. More opportunities for community use. More opportunity for increased revenue.

  10. We want to create aBus Parking Area To provide off road bus parking & turning To reduce congestion on Shrewsbury Road. To provide safer access/egress to Shrewsbury Road. To provide overspill car parking.

  11. We want to create Outdoor teaching space Use the slope of the ground to create an amphitheatre for alternative outdoor teaching in the environment. Opportunity for community use Opportunity for increased revenue. Create a Forest Schools Project

  12. We want to create anEco Lodge Area To provide a multi use eco friendly alternative teaching space. We want to encourage students to think about the future of the planet, and see how they can use sustainable energy in buildings and take care of the environment. Opportunity for community use.   13. We want to create aGarden Project To provide a wild life garden. Potential for garden project with residents of Ashbrook / Ley Gardens. To include raised beds for vegetables, fruit trees, bird tables , wild flowers, aromatic herbs, compost bins

  14. Employment Provision&Support for Local Economy Potential for small studio/workshop accommodation Possible live/work accommodation Potential to create innovative Business / School links. Possible Tourism links by creating potential for sports and other courses with use of local tourist accommodation Development using sustainable design techniques.
