  1. SODI at Statistics Sweden • Strategy • Visit from Bernhard Bodenstorfer • Delivery of SODI SDMX-EDI – push from Statistics Sweden • Experiences Lars Nordbäck, Statistics Sweden, April 2005

  2. Strategy at Statistics Sweden for implementation of SDMX • Restricted development resources • Experiences from EDIFACT/Gesmes • Use Stadium in the Pilot, no development needed • Study SDMX-ML version 1 and map to the PC-Axis file format and make hard-coded for version1 as a note to remember the concept • Influence version 2 of SDMX-ML and then develop a general standardised conversion from PC-Axis • Set up an infrastructure project to handle Web services in a safe way • Make an automatic update of the web service from the databases

  3. Visit by Bernhard Bodenstorfer • Enhance knowledge of SDMX-ML in our office to support the development of SDMX-ML converter in PC-Axis • We will get some supporting tools a XSLT that shows the XML on the screen • A Java program that translate GESMES/TS into SDMX-ML was to be developed. • The mapping of PC-Axis files to the SDMX and talk to Chris Nelson on similar trials from his side. • A XML file with the structures of the ECB key families.

  4. Push of SDMX-EDI for SODI • First SODI push test 10 of March • SDMX-EDI = Gesmes/TS resp Gesmes DSIS(ESA95) • Dataflow Group (SE-SCB-SODI) • Data flows (SODI-IPI-M resp SODI-GDP_Q) using Stadium Web (SWA) • These data flows were sent before the normal sending with the old dataflow names

  5. Experiences • Normal routines used for several years are used, Database=>Gesmes/TS=>SWA for the IPI • For the GDP it is Excel=>Exceladdin(from Eurostat)=> e-mail?! To the e-mail address Stadium! • We will continue to use SWA since our Local Coordinator got information that the EWA is not yet completed
