  3. The FLOOD • Noah and his family are the only righteous people on Earth • Noah builds an Ark • The Flood occurs • Afterwards the sign of the covenant: The Rainbow

  4. Allegorical meaning of the Rainbow • A piece of Heaven on Earth - 3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. (Rev. 4:3 NAU) • Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of Heaven • God’s love for us • Rainbow color chart (go to next slide)

Biblical Meaning to the Colors of the Rainbow Red - Blood of Christ, warfare, consuming fire, Blood Covenant, forgiveness • Orange - Fire of God, harvest, fruitfulness, warrior • Yellow - Faith and Glory of God, anointing, Joy • Green - Healing, restoration, new beginnings, prosperity, Throne Room, flourishing • Blue - Grace, mercy, the River of Life, • revelation, hope, God's passion • Indigo - symbolizes the barrier between Creation, • which includes time, • and Heaven, where the Lord lives in eternity • Purple (violet) - Royalty, Majesty, • the Kingdom, inheritance, Authority MHK 2/15/2018

  6. The Covenant • First covenant of the Bible • It is all about God • God always keeps His covenants • Hebraic Prayer when seeing a rainbow: “Blessed are you our Lord and God, King of the Universe, who remembers His covenant, is trustworthy in His covenant, and fulfills His word.”

  7. For us Today • The Rainbow reminds us of God’s love for us • We need God in order to survive (God’s light powers the Universe) • Diversity is a major part of creation and unity is something God wants (i.e. the difference animals living together on the Ark)
