nSHIELD Project |ACORDE Role & Expectations • Main role in the project: HW/SW integrator • Design and development of Wireless sensor networks, optimized in cost and energy consumption, through technologies like ZigBee, RFID… or COTS devices, or custom devices in ISM band networks. • Data transmission, through communication systems, such as broadband connections via optical fiber, radio link (WiMAX), mesh network topologies (WiFi) or satellite links. Data acquisition, either through wireless or wired sensors. • Implementation of Secure and Safe Communications. Integration of proposed cryptographic techniques in FPGAs. Development and integration of devices including TPM COTS, microcontrollers with advanced OS. • GNSS Platforms for Security Applications, which provide a certain level of protection against possible attacks, depending on the application. Trusted and Secure GNSS receiver Modules. • Expectations from the project • Implementation/improvement of crypto technologies to be included in own products in order to offer an added value. • Studies and analysis of modular concepts apply to security systems. • Research in the filed of power supply protection.
