  2. 2009 Summer Scholars Program • Faculty Mentored Research • Lectures and seminars on the basics of research • Student oral presentations of selected research projects • Clinical conferences • Shadowing physicians in various pediatric subspecialties

  3. 2009 Summer Scholars Program • The program was held May 27 – July 31, 2009. • A total of 18 students participated in the 2009 Summer Scholars Program, including four students from Hampton University, an Alliance partnership institution. • Each of the students received a $3,000.00 research stipend.

  4. 2009 Summer Scholars Program Summer Scholars Janee Henderson, Keisha Avant, Ashley Garvin and Erika Byers of Hampton University showcase the results of their research at poster exhibition sponsored by the EVMS Department of Pediatrics.
