  2. Screening to Succeed:A regional call to action Goal: Promote awareness and implementation of universal developmental monitoring, screening, and follow up in order to maximize young children’s development.

  9. Engaging Families If you suspect a child has a developmental delay, this sample conversation can give you ideas of how to talk with children’s parents or guardians. Partnering with families has great and lasting value for all involved. All of the Learn the Signs. Act Early. resources are available on the CDC’s Act Early website

Intervention Services • When screening identifies children at risk for delay, Child Development Infoline (CDI) is available to help find services for children • Ways to contact CDI: • Dial 1-800-505-7000 • Visit the CDI website to make an on-line referral • Visit the Birth to Three website to make an on-line referral or to download a referral form that you can fax to CDI: 860-571-6853.
