This document details the COPS meeting on March 27, 2014, where updates regarding NPRR 570 were discussed. COPS and CSWG are monitoring the reduction of the RTM settlement timeline from 7 to 5 days, with initial settlements beginning on January 1, 2014. No significant impacts have been reported by ERCOT or participating members thus far. VOTING ITEM • NPRR 570 Reduce RTM Settlement Timeline from 7 to 5: • Phase 1: OD + 6 Initial settlement started with 1/1/2014 OD • CSWG and COPS had standing agenda item to monitor the reduction and report any impacts on ERCOT or MPs • CSWG analyzed limited Final settlement data available and did not notice any variance due to reduction in timeline so far • ERCOT reported that they did not observe any impact on their processes and everything is going smoothly on their side with phase 1, OD+6 • No COPS/CSWG member raised any issue on their side either • On March 17, 2014 meeting COPS unanimously endorsed transition to phase 2 for OD +5 with 5/1/2014 OD • Therefore COPS recommends to TAC transition to phase 2, OD + 5 Initial settlement and OD +55 Final settlement
NEXT STEPS • NPRR 570 Reduce RTM Settlement Timeline Phase 2: OD + 5: • CSWG and COPS will continue to monitor the reduction and report any impacts on ERCOT or MPs • CSWG will continue to analyze Final settlement data available • COPS will continue to monitor developments in MWG/WMS regarding: • SMOGRR014 Communications Regarding EPS Meter Repairs, and Related Notice Deadlines and Clarifications • Telemetry-to-EPS meter mapping proof of concept • COPS will report back to TAC the status of OD + 5 at May/June TAC meetings
