  1. Year of Room 16 From 2011-2012 By Lukas Prongos

  2. Math In math we did geometry, algebra, symmetry, and of course way more stuff. In geometry we learned about shapes. In algebra we learned about variables, and in symmetry we learned to see if a shape was symmetrical.

  3. Science In science we learned a bunch of cool stuff. For example, we learned about rocks, electricity, environments, and magnets. When we did rocks we tested them. In magnets have two poles.

  4. Social Studies In social studies we learned about the government, the westward movement, and the gold rush .In the government we learned how to make a law, in the westward movement we learned that people came to California, and in the gold rush we learned about the gold rush

  5. E.L.A In E.L.A we have read Island of the Blue Dolphins, where a girl is abandoned on an island, Patty Reed’s Doll, where a doll goes to California on a wagon, and Stone Fox, a boy that does a sled dog race to get money. We also learned writing and the different types of writing.

  6. Field Trips We did a lot of fun field trips. We went to the state capitol, Audubon Canyon Ranch, Sutter’s Fort, and the Nut Cracker. When we went to the state capitol we saw everything in there. At Audubon Canyon Ranch we saw a lot of nature. We actually got to see a real canon at Sutter’s Fort and at the Nut Cracker we got to go to the play.

  7. Fun Some fun stuff that we did is that we had a prairie picnic where we had picnic which related to the westward movement. We ate food that the pioneers ate. We also have art docents that come in sometimes come in and they teach us art. Then we make an art project.

  8. Parties We had a lot of fun parties. We had a Halloween party, a Christmas party, and a Valentines party. At the Halloween party we dressed up in our Halloween costume. For the Christmas party we had hot chocolate. Last but not least for the Valentines party we gave out valentines.
