  3. Making a contention • Claim • explain • Warrant • Evidence • Impact • Impact your impacts (maybe just in rebuttals)

  4. Warranting points • Use reliable sources especially when citing numbers or stats • Always use more evidence than analysis. Does not matter what the point is, do not have it rely only on logic. • Analysis should be explanation not a restatement of the evidence

  5. Flex casing • Would not recommend doing this • You are using arguments that are not your strongest. • Time it out well. You look amateur if you don’t
