  1. DIABETES COMIC STRIP For your final expedition project you will be creating a comic strip about Type 2 Diabetes

  2. Your Story Line • Choose one of the following story lines • How a person can develop Type 2 diabetes • The day and life of a person with Type 2 diabetes • How diabetes affects the body

  3. What you need in your comic! • Character(s): Who is in your story? Who are they? • Setting: Where is your story taking place? • Plot: Your story needs a beginning, middle, and end • Conflict: What is the problem in your story? What is the solution? How do your characters get to that solution? • Theme: What is the purpose of your story?

  16. PEER RECOMMENDATIONS • Review your peer recommendations and start the revision process. • YOU MUST KEEP THESE REVISIONS WHEN YOU TURN IN YOUR FINAL WORK.

  17. L.T: I can give and receive feedback about my 1st draft. Task: Your 1st draft of your comic is due today!  Please take out your 1st draft along with the checklist. Today you will complete a peer review of each others 1st draft. Everyone’s draft will have at least 6 student reviews. You will do a gallery walk, moving from table to table. Leave your 1st draft neatly on your table, with your: 1) checklist, 2) both student review sheets stapled to it. You will spend ____ mins. Reviewing each persons draft. Use the checklist as your guide, say at least one positive thing give suggestions for how to make their comic better.
