  2. Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?Revised • It’s My Life. Extracted from http://pbskids.org/itsmylife/family/index.html. • The above link offers a host of suggested lessons and activities. I extracted the suggested lesson idea from the Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see? Story. I revised it to include my granddaughter’s name and some of the wildlife that we see in my backyard. Original Lesson Idea Writing • Have your child take pictures of things around them.  Print out the pictures and make their own book using their name.  For example: Luke's book might have a picture of a cup and it would say, "Luke, Luke what do you see?  I see a cup looking at me." Objective:  1. To identify various wildlife and objects in nature. 2. To use New Literacies media in addition to traditional resources to capture pictures too use while developing personalized stories. 3. To engage families in the literacy process. Writing Standards - Text Types and Purposes - K–5Standard: 2.
