Essential Question: How can a PAWM Pilot help me learn about Georgia’s land and its early people?
PAWM Pilot • 1st Step: Fold your paper almost in half (hotdog; down), leaving a little lip, so that the top half is shorter. • 2nd Step: Fold the paper into four parts by folding in half (hotdog; across), and then fold it in half again (hotdog; across). • 3rd Step: Unfold the paper to the original fold. Take the front flap and cut it into 4 “lids”; do NOT cut through the fold of the paper.
PAWM Pilot • On the “Cover”: Write one time period on the lip or the longer half - Paleo, Archaic, Woodland, Mississippian. • Draw an illustration that represents each of the Pre-contact periods. Use at least 4 colors. On the Flip Side of the “Cover” & Inside Section: • Write a summary of each Native American tradition. Tell about: • Family/Group Size • Food • Shelter • Clothing/jewelry • Weapons/Tools & Untensils
