  3. About new system Based on Sakai (open source), also used at Yale (will make the new VC feel at home!) Cambridge, Hull, Lancaster, Newcastle UCBerkley, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, NYU Better, cleaner more modern interface Covers virtually all functions of old system Same (unique) concepts as old system eg, hierarchy, groups, public access Uses Oxford SSO (webauth) weblearn.ox.ac.uk

  4. New WebLearn Facilities 1 Share material with students or external users can be searched Schedule (calendar) for events Announcements (in site or by email) Discussion forums Electronic pigeon holes (with Turnitin option) Tutorial sign-up sheet weblearn.ox.ac.uk

  5. New WebLearn Facilities 2 RSS, news feeds incl. Twitter, OxItems Email distribution list (with archive) Assessment (quiz), survey and opinion poll Wiki for collaboration Tracking (with pie charts, histograms, CSV) Reading lists linked to OLIS ‘Integration’ with Oxcort, GSS, Oxam, Oxlip+, OSS, … weblearn.ox.ac.uk
