Pre Season Training • The sessions are needed to prepare you for fixtures ahead and take place at Sheen Common. • If the weather is poor please check the sports website each morning, in case of reverting to the Sports Hall. • Monday 15, Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 April • U13s- 9.30-11.00am • U15s- 11.00am-12.30pm • U18s- 1.00-2.30pm

  3. Fixtures The fixture list has been increased to test and challenge you every game. There are 35 games in the senior school alone, in a 10 week term. If selected to represent IPS, you are expected to do so and be part of the team. However we understand that there are other commitments and you must therefore communicate fully with Mr Brown and the PE staff.

  4. Bat like Pietersen? IPS Cricket Power League on the field Fridays 4-5pm 26 April, 10, 17, 24 May, 7 & 14 June Bowl like Dale Steyn?

  5. Age Groups • In 2012 we began playing cricket at 3 age groups in the Senior School. As a result we noted: • More competition • Improved results • Better opposition • Improved cricketers • Greater desire to play • We want you to enjoy cricket at a testing level for you, where you make decisions and take part in the game for the most time possible.

  9. Fixtures The Sports Department will begin using a new website to keep you updated about fixtures and information. http://www.schoolssports.com/ Please be aware that you may wish to access this site soon to avoid confusion.

  10. Training Sessions U15s- Mondays on the field 4.00-5.15pm assisted by Mr Unterhalter U13s- Fridays on the field 4.00-5.15pm assisted by Mr McGrath Saturday Morning Sessions will take place at Sheen Common 8.45-9.45am on a rotational basis. Saturday 20 April- 1st XI and Saturday 27 April- U15s.

  11. Extra Training If anyone wishes to develop their batting, bowling or fielding during the Easter Holidays please get in touch and I can help you find local cricket clubs or myself will be very happy to take your game to the next level.

  12. 1st XI If you expect to represent the school at 1st XI level you are setting the benchmark for performance and standards at IPS. To this end, training and gaining further experience is vital. The change from youth cricket to adult cricket can be a tough one. You are all young adults now! You must try to be available for the Old Hamptonians 2nd XI v Hampton Wick Royal 2nd XI on Saturday May 4 @ 1.30pm. Please make a note in your diaries now and let me know on Monday 15 April if you can play.

  13. Kit http://www.sheensports.co.uk/ If you represent the school you NEED to have: your own cricket shirt, trousers and cross trainers. Should have: spikes and batting equipment. Sheen Sports will be hosting two cricket evenings Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th April from 5.00 until 7.30pm.Each evening all cricket clothing, equipment and footwear will all be displayed!!!  There will be 15% discount offered on everything! Arrive early as there will be special offers on premium bats, pads and clothing at 40% off. Only available on the night between 5.00 and 7.30pm.Everyone who attends on either night will go into the draw to win a £50 voucher.

  15. 2013 is going to be bigger and better than ever… • - We are playing in 3 Surrey Cup competitions • IPS Cricket Day • Over 35 fixtures • New staff to improve playing standards • A forecast of a little sunshine in 2013…
