  1. The Jasper Gazette - Since 2012 Where You Can Read All About It! Gardening for the Good 1st Grade Enrichment Garden Last year the 1st grade enrichment group worked with the Pike Gardeners Unlimited to create a school garden. We learned all about square-foot-garden, and with lots of help, we created our own square-foot-garden at Jasper Elementary. We had two helpers. Karen and Lou came once a week and helped us learn lots of new things about gardening. They help us plant sunflowers, wheat, grapes, strawberries, and lots of other tops and bottoms. They also taught us how to care for our plants. We are looking forward to working with Karen and Lou again in the future to learn more about gardening and where our food comes from. We are so thankful that they took time to help us learn new things.
